There is a new oil filter wrench designed for the Toyota canister type oil filters. The early filter wrenches were aluminum but they tended to slip or get stuck. So various manufacturers developed filter wrenches that fit around the ridges of the canister. They are made of aluminum too, and can get stuck and can slip and break.
The newest oil filter wrenches are better. They are made of steel and wont slip. I started selling them a few months ago. I sold one to a technician at Auto Nation in Buena Park California. Two weeks later I sold five more. They work better. They are the best so far. They don’t slip. They don’t get stuck. The steel construction will outlast the aluminum ones.
