Biter Sets from GearWrench"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is common for an automotive technician to run into problems with rounded bolt heads.\u00a0 Perhaps someone used a twelve point socket or the wrong size socket causing the deformation of the bolt.\u00a0\u00a0 He might have even over tightened the bolt or worse yet, someone else did.<\/p>\n<p>GearWrench has a solution.\u00a0\u00a0 We have been selling the Bolt Biters for about a year now.\u00a0 This is what we have learned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hammer on:<\/p>\n<p>Although the GearWrench literature shows the technician using an impact gun to remove the bolt, we found that hammering the bolt biter on first and then using a long ratchet to remove it is better.<\/p>\n<p>When an impact gun is used the removal socket is unable to grip the bolt causing more problems.\u00a0 The bolt is rounded more and the bolt biter may be damaged.\u00a0 Sure it might work to just use the impact gun, but don\u2019t risk it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Putting the Bolt Back on:<\/p>\n<p>Other rounded bolt extractors can only take the bolt off, but the GearWrench Bolt Biter \u2122 can put the bolt back on.\u00a0\u00a0 If
