Let’s face it; fuel injection systems are superior to the old carburetor systems of years past. Rather than use a carburetor that sucks fuel into combustion chambers, fuel injection systems pump fuel through small injectors into the combustion chambers.
The atomized fuel combusts better, providing better economy and better emissions. There are some things that can go wrong with an FI system though. Injectors can get clogged.
There are ways these injectors can get cleaned. The first involves fuel additive to the gasoline tank. The second involves attaching an aerosol container to the injector and running the car on the cleaner.
The third way, and arguably the best way, is to attach a cleaning canister to the system’s injectors. The canister will use the pressure of the shop air to clean the injector.
Our US Made Fuel Injection Tester / Cleaning Canister Kits are the best on the market. They include a sight glass so the technician can see the cleaning fluid travel through the process. There is a shut off valve and a regulator to ensure an optimum flow.
The canister can use either OTC or Snap-on brand cleaning fluids.
